Why your hourly wage matters

Two offers with the same annual salary can be very different if one requires 37.5 hours a week and the other 40, or if one has more days of holiday. Converting your salary into euros per hour is the simplest way to compare them.

It also helps you value overtime, part-time work or whether a job with a longer commute is worth it. Remember that the 2026 minimum wage sets a minimum hourly rate for any working schedule.
